Maxwell Appraisal Service was started in 1999 by Michael Maxwell. Mr. Maxwell is a General Licensed Appraiser and has worked in Mass Appraisal since 1989. The company has provided Data Collection/Revaluation and Annual Reassessment consulting to numerous Towns and Cities across upstate New York. He provides hands on relationship to his clients, as they are always working with the owner and principles not salaried employees. He provides professional work with his quality personnel always supervised by Mr. Maxwell himself. Mr. Maxwell also has an extensive knowledge of V4 and the data entry and valuation components.  He continues to support many of the municipalities with Annual Reassessment or revaluation updates.

2002 - Present:  Rich has been partnering with Mike Maxwell owner of Maxwell Appraisal Service, on all revaluation projects since 2002. He has been responsible for complete projects from start to finish. His duties have included but are not limited to public information meetings, data collection, television interviews, delineation of neighborhoods, valuation of residential and commercial properties as well as holding Informal meetings with property owners. Rich has experience valuing all types of properties including vacant land, lakefront property, vacation homes and farms, most recently working on a project completing 10,000 parcels in Broome County.

2001- Present Dan has been the Sole Assessor for the Towns of Manheim, Fairfield and the Town of Stark in Herkimer County since 2001. He has been responsible for maintaining a current and equitable assessment roll and property inventory in each town. Including but not limited to, administering exemptions, sales transfers and updating property record cards from building permits. His duties also include B.A.R training, Assessor training, data collection, developing land and cost tables, valuation of residential and commercial property and public information meetings.

Theresa has been working with Maxwell Appraisal Service for the last 3 years. Her current position is the Office Manager for the business as well as the Personal Assistant to Owner Michael Maxwell. She is also acquiring all her necessary courses to become an Appointed Assessor in New York State and is very knowledgeable in all aspects of the day to day business of Mass Appraisal. She is also versed in the V4 program and all its components. Theresa will be your first point of contact when you call the office and will do everything she can to assist you.
